Ad Frank

Dubbed "the poet laureate of the lovelorn", Ad Frank follows a longtradition of brooding, hyper-literate curmudgeons that includes LeonardCohen, Lloyd Cole and Roddy Frame.  His wry, self-deprecating lyrics tellfamiliar tales of a life and loves that did not go as planned.

In his 30 year career, Ad has delivered a sound that evokes late glam andearly new wave, and has shared bills with his idol, John Cale, jazz legendMose Allison, Vic Chestnutt and American Music Club.  His music has beenfeatured on "One Life to Live" and NPR’s Marketplace. Ad has performedlive and on record with the Dresden Dolls, the Willard Grant Conspiracy, the Bon Savants, Dee-Tension, and Martin Carr of the Boo Radleys.
